Tarr Steps

The Tarr Steps is a clapper bridge across the River Barle and is located just 3.5 miles from Winsford. There is a lovely short walk that takes you around a loop of the river.

Porlock Weir

Porlock Weir is a small settlement with a harbour which dates back to over a 1000 years. On the Southern shore of the Bristol Channel it is a tidal port and many of its cottages date from the 17th century, including the Gibraltar Cottages which are grade II listed

West Somerset Railway

The West Somerset Railway is the longest preserved railway in England. It runs for 20 miles from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard and takes in stunning Somerset countryside and coastal views.

Valley of the Rocks

Valley of the Rocks is a stunning dry valley situated just under a mile from Lynton. With stunning sea cliffs, the valley runs parallel to the sea and its rocky outcrops are home to the infamous Valley of the Rocks goat herd.

Dunkery Beacon

Dunkery Beacon is the highest point on Exmoor at 519 meters above sea level. On a clear day, the beacon gives you stunning views of Exmoor as well as the south coast of Wales. There are various points you can park your car and the walk to the top is relatively easy.
